Facebook Knows Everything

Ever had an ex or maybe a friend you just met pop up as "suggestion"? Well many people have been wondering how these "suggestions" are so ironic, how can Facebook put this together without creeping?

Jennifer Bates, a Facebook user, found herself in this position, wondering how Facebook knows just how to hit the stop especially when the name and profile picture of her ex holding a baby came up. Bates freaked out not thinking the Facebook is just trying to connect people.

"The reappearance of those you may or may not wish to forget is all to do with the most minor of Web site “tweaks” and nothing more," Brandon McCormick, a spokesperson for Facebook said. This is all possible because most Facebook users agree to this when they signed up for the network.
The site asks if the user wants to share their e-mail account with the social network. If so, Facebook uses the e-mail to make connections between people and even interests that may appear on the right side of the home page.

This was a good read, little confusing at points but everything came together in the end. The lead was very catchy which is why I chose the beat, its like it was wrote for me. I've always wondered why Facebook had to make a break-up sting extra bad by suggesting an ex or his new fling.
