Sugar vs Syrup

The battle between sugar and high-fructose corn syrup rages on. Although research shows that sugar is just as bad for you, if you eat to much, as corn syrup is, corn syrup is perceived as worse by the general public. This has cause a number of food chains to change their products to use natural sugar. Some of these include, Kraft foods, Pepsi products and Starbucks. While corn syrup has many benefits like keeping products moist, cost, and increasing shelf life, the perceptions people have outweigh the benefits.

Again, I came across a lead that I thought was clever. The writer used a common food product, ocean spray juice, to lure an audience in. Then the writer went onto include more food products by various well known companies to explain his point further. The use of Michelle Obama was smart, and will have an affect on readers. Also, the use of quotes was excellent in this article. There were plenty of them and all by well known places and people.
